Join us on February 8th from 2-4PM for a soup and celebration, themed "For the LOVE of Education."
Bring a bottle of your favorite wine to share and hear a new batch of innovative educator proposals, all seeking funding to directly impact the lives of Philly students!
In addition to our regular programming, there'll be games and live music. A special grant worth $300, sponsored by the Philadelphia Collaborative Teacher Center (PCTC), will be presented to one educator to foster teacher collaboration.
Share the love: We'll be spreading the joy of PhilaSoup this February, so stay tuned for ticket giveaways and take advantage of the special "Bring a Date, Make a Friend" pricing -- 2 tickets for $15!
How does it work? Participants come together for a simple supper. Everyone buys a $10 ticket (or makes a donation), which becomes the grant for the night. During dinner, educators present their ideas for projects they would like to fund with the night’s microgrant. Each presenter has 3 minutes to present and then a few minutes to answer questions. At the end of the presentations, everyone votes for the project that they would like to give the largest portion of the night's grant to. Every teacher receives a percentage of the funds, and PhilaSoup matches a portion of the night's sales to make grants even bigger!
Reserve a ticket now here.
Can't make it? A donation (of any amount) goes a long way. Consider a Can't-Make-It-Donation or reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org to donate soups or other goods.
