Teachers and educators in the Philadelphia-area need your help funding innovative classroom-level projects. PhilaSoup is a grant making organization that will direct your funds to the teachers and classrooms who will make the most of your donation. When you give money to PhilaSoup, you're empowering educators and supporting an organization that is entirely volunteer-run.
Your money goes directly to one of the following:
Matching our teacher innovation grants: At our soup dinners, we use money from donations and our annual kick off to match the funds raised from the dinner's ticket sales. Every presenter leaves with a portion of this money and your donation makes it even bigger!
Providing funds for a PhilaSoup Ambassador local soup: Our Ambassadors are local teachers and leaders who go through training, then host their own local soup dinners mimicking the PhilaSoup model. Typically, these soups empower students within their schools to present and receive funding. Your donations allow us to match money raised up to $500, which ultimately goes directly to Philly students and communities.
Hosting proposal workshops: During the year, we host a number of "Grapes & Grants" events where teachers come together to brainstorm and create proposals for innovative classroom projects. Your donations provide the small budget necessary to reserve the space and serve refreshments.
